As a Product Owner you are responsible for the HR core system focused on our business market.
As such, you are the linking pin between product management, internal stakeholders, product marketing, UX design, development, testing. At all times, you are liaising with these stakeholders. Either to get a better understanding of required functionality and its technical complexity or to communicate the intentions you have with the app. You challenge the product manager and you engage in constructive discussion with the development team to ensure proper understanding in the team, so you know what the cost drivers are.

This function is based in Amersfoort, the working language in our environment is Dutch/English. You are part of a team that consists of your Product Owner peers. You report into the Development Manager.
Specific responsibilities that you assume include:
  • Subject matter expert and product expert for (global) HR software solutions;
  • Building interfaces (API’s);
  • Processing big data;
  • Understanding of customer needs and market trends, through client interaction and other market research;
  • Delivering input for the  product vision with the Product manager;
  • Managing feature iteration throughout the product lifecycle;
  • Writing spot-on users stories, maintaining your backlog and having refinement meetings, to make sure your development teams knows what to do;
  • Managing your internal and external stakeholders. You lead the way;
  • Being a partner for product development & product management when determining our development roadmaps and determining release trains.
We are looking for a team player with great initiative and a get-it-done attitude. You must be able to handle a fast paced work environment while juggling several different tasks at the same time. Excellent organizational, communications, and multi-tasking skills are musts. In a production environment you like when it is dynamic and with Project management skills you know how to keep clients happy. You understand what an End point is. This is what you have been doing frequently in your work in the last few years.
Skills we look for include:
  • 3+ years’ experience in software development, preferably in web based solutions, in different roles;
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner for a cloud based product, preferably B2B and B2C;
  • You enjoy also the technical side as a Product Owner;
  • Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies and preferably also with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe);
  • Possibly you have experience in testing or Project management in a team working on API's;
  • You have worked with REST and apply knowledge on background technology of API 's, and you know about using Postman Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Dutch and English;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong leadership
If you combine this expertise with a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree, then this will be a plus that will be fully recognized.
