Here’s how you can help

In today's BI domain, we have to move fast. But faster is preferable. As DevOps Engineer, you’ll take the DevOps practices of our software engineering team to the next level and the ones after that. As a (valued) member of a self-organizing BI team, you are a DevOps ambassador and drive the adaptation process of the DevOps philosophy. How can we further improve our DevOps tools? How can engineers work more efficiently? What makes this role unique, is that the team is based in Madrid (where it’s always tapas o’clock) and Amersfoort, the Netherlands. You will rotate between the teams, creating a horizontal layer with other DevOps engineers.

As for concrete challenges; the BI product you work on, is transitioning from legacy to cutting edge; a migration to the public cloud and Power BI are in scope. We are currently focusing on CI/CD pipelines and strive to realize autonomous deployments with just one push of the button. It’s up to you to monitor acceptance and production environments and to ensure our service is always up and running. Because the impact of downtime is huge – thousands of organizations rely on our HRM insights – we expect you to be proactive in preventing failures. Once a month, you will be in charge of development.

Meet over coffee? That’s a yes if you

  • Live in the cloud or want to move there
  • Are adept in PowerShell and MS tools SQL azure full stack (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS) 
  • Have ETL & DWH experience and know Microsoft Services by heart
  • Have experience with deployment, monitoring and firefighting
  • Bring coaching and leadership skills to the table

  • Bonus points are awarded for CI, CD, PowerBI, Source Control and/or IIS knowledge

About the offer
